TEAM PROGRESS - Creating our Pitch

After discussing our choices for what CD covers we should take inspiration from, we've created a presentation on Google Slides. with this, our pitch will consist of the CD covers we've looked into and have short descriptions beside them, connoting how and why it relates to our work as well as their features. This is my part of the Pitch:

TEAM PROGRESS - Researching CD Covers

Completing the Music Video we've gone to the stage of presenting the actual, physical CD as well as the case for it. We'll be creating graphic art and for this we started doing our research on what artists and covers we should take inspiration from.

TEAM PROGRESS - Whatsapp group

Creating a group on Whatsapp, we discussed times and where to meet for filming our first scene for the video; reminding each other on what we plan to do. We also had to set a time on when we were going to collect the equipment as it was booked on Aaron's name.

TEAM PROGRESS - Issue/Research

Gathering up for our daily meeting, we had an issue with one of our members being absent today so we couldn't discuss a lot of the pre-production plan. However we know that Spencer is the main performer as he knows the lyrics of the song fluently.

So instead we researched the locations that we could use for the setting and because we had a scene with a therapist it made sense to use some kind of office in the college. As an alternative we could simply use the studio and some chairs. We'll start to discuss risks with locations and storyboarding the video once he is in class.

Infinite Mix - Media Trip

To get inspiration for our music videos, we went to an exhibition in the Infinite Mix in '180 The Strand' near the Southbank Centre; featuring audio-video artworks by some of the world's leading artists. These included various types of cinema styled rooms, each with their individual set up of immersive multi-screens, projections a hologram and a 3D screen.

Each had a distinctive artist that had their work projected on the screen and rather having a story or narrative styled video, they were musically structured, like a music video. Kendrick Lamar was one of the featured artists and had his work projected simultaneously onto two screens, each with different visuals. This was our favourite as it is the most relevant to us as it was similar to a music video but had a unique look and because of this it gave us inspiration for our own video.
